At Mind Matters Counseling we deal with a variety of mental health concerns:
- Individual Counseling for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and personal growth
- Trauma Recovery from childhood and domestic abuse
- Marriage and Couple Counseling
I draw from evidence-based treatment modalities in the course of psychotherapy including Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Counseling is most effective in the context of supportive relationships and I encourage everyone to take measured risks to build those supports. We also look at the effects of past relationships and experiences to better understand the basis of our self-worth and thinking patterns and chart a better course as needed.
